Our company, No Coast Van Co, designed this van to live off-grid, travel the most remote areas in the United States, and to have everything possible to be comfortable on the road. We traveled in it from 2020 until last month, as our family of 3 has outgrown the space and will be building another rig to accommodate our daughter. We would not be selling our van, Chevere, for any other reason.
The van went through a near-complete overhaul recently. New paint, fresh drawer slides and locks, new drawers and drawer faces, brand new batteries, totally redesigned back sofa, a plumbing and electrical overhaul for efficiency and comfort, a brand new 5kw Panel and Remote controlled diesel heater, a new propane cooktop and tank, New Maxxair fans, and more. We did this because after living in the van for 3 years, we knew everything needed some tidying up, but we also wanted the most important components of the van to be new and functioning at their best for the next owners.
This van is immaculate and has been lovingly and meticulously cared for, not only by us, but by the previous owner as well. We searched for 6 months and traveled North to South, and Coast to Coast before finding this van and being confident in its maintenance history and condition. The van recently went to Mercedes Benz for an emissions modification, which extends the warranty on all emissions related component for an additional 200,000 miles from the date of the work. While at Mercedes Benz, they inspected every component on the vehicle and gave us paperwork stating everything, with exception of 1 brake wear sensor, was in excellent condition and performing as designed. We've since replaced the faulty brake wear sensor remedying any issue the van has had.There are mild scrapes and rock chips, and only one ding/dent on the entire van, which is located on the hood where someone who was unfamiliar when closing the hood tried to force it down. It has been there since we bought it and is nearly impossible to see unless you're intentionally looking for it. The body and undercarriage/frame are virtually rust free. This van spent its entire life in the Southern California desert and Middle Tennessee, with us avoiding cold weather and snow intentionally along our travels.
